Training and Experience

Cha’Ke’Sha Spencer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Morris Brown College and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Clark Atlanta University. Cha’Ke’Sha has extensive experience working with adolescents and their families providing individual, group and family therapy. Cha’Ke’Sha has worked in intense residential settings as well as with adults in an in-patient setting.

Cha’Ke’Sha has also facilitated trainings that include Working with Families in Out of Home Placements, Emotional Boundaries and Separation and Attachment Issues.

Treatment Approach

Cha’Ke’Sha focuses on empowering every client’s journey towards change by building a positive therapist-client relationship. Cha’Ke’Sha utilizes various modes of therapy to help each client including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to teach skills that can be used in everyday life. Cha’Ke’Sha’s goal is to work with each client by providing a non judgmental environment that balances acceptance with change strategies.
